Deep water solo in Tarragona – Punta de la Móra

Punta de la mora is a small but supercool spot for deep water soloing and the best is, it’s only a 1 hour drive from Barcelona. Grades range from 6a to 7a. The max. height is only about 5 meters. The rock type is limestone. The routes are mainly overhanging traverse.

You can reach Punta de la Mora from Platja de la Mora where you can park your car. Once at Platja la mora turn right and walk towards the camping. There are stairs leading up to the campsite. From there you’ll get to a small cove, Cala la mora. Keep walking until you reach the other site of the cove. From there you’ll have to do a little (but really easy) traversing till punta la mora (see map below).

  1. route A to 1 = 6b
  2. route B to 1 = 6a+
  3. route C to 1 = 6c
  4. route C to 2 = 6c+
  5. route D to 3 = 7a
  6. route F to 4 = 6a
  7. route F to 1 = 6B
