Via Ferrata – Canal de les Dames (K4)

Note: There are climbing walls within the via ferrata. Click here for information about the Les Dames climbing routes.

The via ferrata Canal de les Dames is an equipped canyon located south of the Montserrat mountain. It’s a fun and well-equipped path.

The via ferrata is relatively short. It combines a number of vertical walls that are connected by short horizontal paths. The last one (named l’olla = the pot) being the most difficult. Especially because some of the rocks are quite slippery as they have been continuously rinsed with rain water. So this part will be a little challeging for your arms. This last part is quite short though and it can also be skipped if needed by taking an alternative way through a natural whole located on the left hand side of l’olla.

There are several ways back. The fastest one is turning right and following the yellow signs.

When you return to the parking, the Restaurant Masia Vinya Nova is a great place to have lunch. The have a big and really nice outdoor seating area. You can bring your own food or order something (self service).

Difficulty: K4

Duration: 1-1,5 hours

Rappel: Not necessary

Location: Montserrat, Barcelona
