Andorra is dominated by Pyrenees mountains and, of course, apart from hiking trails and plenty of via ferratas, there is also a fair number of climbing possibilities. The best conditions for rock climbing are during the warmer months between March and September. Below you can find a couple sectors for sport climbing that are very recommended:
Sant Antoni de la Grella
The setting of the area at the Sant Antoni de la Grella church is particularly beautiful. The limestone wall is facing east and offers about 18 routes graded from 5a to 7c.
Solà d’Enclar
With 6 sectors Sola d’Enclar is the largest climbing area in Andorra. Most routes are graded 6s and 7s. The walls face south-east, however, trees offer shade for the belayers in the summer. Overall, there are about 76 single pitch sports climbs and the approach time is about 10-20 minutes (from the cementery) depending on the sector.
