Via Ferrata – Cinglera del Resistent (K5-K6)

The Cinglera del Resistent is a demanding but fun via ferrata. The ferrata is located on the Turó del Marqués mountain only a 10 minutes drive from Monistrol de Montserrat. From the via ferrata, you can take in some incredible views of Montserrat.

The itinerary is interesting because it is equipped with nails instead of the usual steel holds and steps which are more difficult to hold on to.

The most fun part of the via ferrata is an almost 180° overhang called “el techo” (trans. the roof). Thanks to the roof the via ferrata is classified as K6.

There are two ways to climb the roof: Either by using the regular iron holds or by using the hanging ladder. Both options are exciting and superfun.

Difficulty: K5-K6

Rappel: Optional (40 meters)

Duration: approx. 1,5 hours

Location: Castellbell i el Vilar, Barcelona
