Psicobloc The Russian Bath – Deep Water Soloing Cap Roig (Palafrugell / Palamos) – Costa Brava

La bañera rusa (lit. trans. The Russian Bath) is a small cove in a stunning natural environment, surrounded by cliffs with spectacular views. It is located close to Cap Roig, in Calella de Palafrugell, just below the Botanical Garden. Next to it, a beautiful rock bridge over the deep clean waters which is a perfect spot for deep water solo.

La bañera rusa is one of the most hidden coves on the Costa Brava. It is usually very quiet there since it is not easily accessible by foot. The easiest way to get there is by boat or kayak, which is what most people do.

We hiked there from Platja de Castell (2h incl. breaks for pictures and plunging for refreshment). The Camino de Ronda from Platja de Castell to Cap Roig is without a doubt the most beautiful coastline hike on the Costa Brava counting 11 beautiful and singular coves.

More deep water solo near Barcelona.

Below are a few possible lines. Please, be aware when climbing that people might kayak, swim or dive through the cave. It is recommended to have someone watch the passage.
