No need to fly to Mallorca for first class Deep Water Solo. The Mediterranean coastline of Jávea or Xàbia in catalán in the province of Alicante (Valencia) offers a great variety of climbing in caves and on cliffs for all tastes and grades – from overhangs to slabs and grades from 4a to 8a+.
Under the following links you can find online topos and guides:
Cala Moraig – Salto 12 metros & Cova dels Arcs
Salto 12 metros (or Cave of Pets in TheOrangeHouse guide) is located left of Cala Moraig and Cova dels Arcs on the right end of the cove (called Jellystone in TheOrangeHouse guide). The Cova dels Arcs is just beside the main beach. It’s easily accessible and provides shade. Thus, in the summer it’s very busy with swimmers, snorkelers and people just hanging out.
Note that if you want to park at Cala Moraig a reservation might be necessary. We parked at Street Pueblo de la Luz, Benitachell. This was one of the few streets that was not reserved for residents.

Cova Ambolo or Cova del Llop Marí
The Cova Ambolo is a popular tourist destination in the summer. If you climb here you might have an audience and cheerleaders 🙂
The climbing is superfun! The two 6c routes on the left and right side of the cave entrance are very polished though.
